RoleModel Enterprises is developing an internet platform that will revolutionize the way people work, learn, and network with people around the globe.
Lisa Schaefer is the Chief Futurist of RoleModel Enterprises, a startup to develop a platform for independent authors to engage their fans with live online author events and book clubs. The platform eventually will be extended to serve all creatives and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Schaefer earned her B.S.E. and M.S. in civil engineering and Ph.D. in systems engineering from Arizona State University. She was a simulation engineer at the MITRE Corporation and taught statistics at Marymount and American Universities. She has taken screenwriting courses from a Hollywood screenwriter and graduate level video production courses from American University.
Dr. Schaefer is involved in several technology and women's organizations in the DC metro area (Ruby Users Groups, DC Tech, Mobile Development DC, Women's National Book Association, Northern Virginia Writers, Women in Film and Video, American Association of University Women, Society of Women Engineers). She also trains and organizes races with the DC Roadrunners.
